Depending on the collection, we work with 9kt and 18kt solid gold, 925 sterling silver, and gold-plated sterling silver. The exact material composition of each jewel is always specified on the product page.

Whatever the material, every LIL Milan jewel is designed to combine beauty, durability, and everyday wearability.

LIL Milan Jewels are all handmade in solid gold. Yellow gold jewels are nichel free. White gold jewels may contain a small amount of nichel.

Solid gold jewels can be worn in the shower.

For 925 sterling silver and gold-plated jewels, we recommend limiting exposure to water, perfumes, creams, and chemicals to help preserve their beauty and durability over time.

Jewels featuring pearls should always be removed before contact with water.

The best way to care for your LIL Milan jewel depends on the material.

Solid gold does not tarnish, but it can lose some of its shine due to contact with skin oils, cosmetics, lotions, and everyday wear. To restore its brilliance, gently clean it with warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth.

925 sterling silver may naturally oxidize over time when exposed to air and humidity. Regular cleaning with a soft polishing cloth will help maintain its shine.

18kt gold-plated sterling silver requires a little extra care. To preserve the plating for as long as possible, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact with water, perfumes, creams, and other chemicals. After wearing, gently wipe your jewel with a soft cloth and store it in a dry place.

For all materials, we recommend storing your jewels separately to prevent scratches and keep them looking their best for years to come.

• Measure the inner diameter of a ring you already own and compare it with our size chart.
• Measure the circumference of your finger using a strip of paper or a measuring tape and match the result with our chart.
• Visit a local jeweler for a professional measurement.

A few tips:

• Measure your finger at the end of the day, when it is at its largest.
• Avoid measuring when your hands are very cold or very warm.
• If you're between two sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger one.

The easiest way is to use a measuring tape or a piece of string.

Wrap it around your neck at the length you would like your necklace to sit, then measure the length in centimeters.

You can also use a necklace you already own and measure it from end to end.

For reference:

• 35–40 cm: choker fit
• 40–45 cm: sits at the base of the neck
• 50–60 cm: falls below the collarbone
• 70 cm+: long necklace fit
